About Our Farm
We are a collaborative, land-based agricultural collective made up of a group of young farmers dedicated to finding ways to sustain our livelihoods while contributing to a thriving rural community and economy.
We chose farming as a career path because of the meaning and purpose that this work gifts to us. We care deeply about the health of the land and the health of our communities and we feel that these two things are intrinsically linked.
Our farm allows us to participate in creating the kind of world that we want to live in: ecologically sustainable, resilient, abundant, full of kindness, and community driven.
We find joy in growing, cooking, and sharing nourishing food with our loved ones and neighbors. We want to help you do the same!

Jeremy has been farming at Birdsong since 2021, after a decade of seasonal work on farms across the Northeast. He believes that community agriculture is foundational to social and ecological health and that the work we do in our lives matters to the world, in small and large ways. Jeremy loves working with grazing animals to build vibrant pastureland, designing farm systems, and working in joyful collaboration with other humans.

Rayna fell in love with farming as a teenager while working at the Youth Farm Project in Ithaca, NY and has had few other jobs since. She has worked on multiple diversified farms in Maine, NY, and Vermont and is joining Birdsong for the 2026 growing season. She loves the tangible and ever-changing learning that comes from working with plants, animals, and soil. She finds joy in getting to participate in feeding people healthy and delicious food. When she is not on the farm, Rayna enjoys hiking, lounging by the river, and eating good food with good people.
Our Growing Practices
We treat our soil and animals with kindness and reverence. Together, we are building a landscape that captures carbon and is more climate resilient.
Our Garden:
Is grown using ecological standards that exceed organic practices; we don’t spray anything.
Is nourished by compost we generate onsite.
Is grown using regenerative, no-till practices.
Uses as little plastic as possible. We limit the use of any plastics, and use almost zero single use plastic.
Our Laying Hens:
Forage on pasture seasonally.
Live in a spacious barn with outside access through the winter.
Are fed locally-made non-GMO grain and organic vegetable scraps year round.
Are managed without any antibiotics.
Our Cows & Sheep:
Are rotationally grazed, moving to new grass every 12-36 hours.
Are shade-grazed when possible as we work to establish more acres of silvopasture (intentional integration of trees and grazing animals) to promote animal and soil health.
Are born on the farm and humanely slaughtered on the farm.
Are our partners in regenerating the soil and land.
